Remember the days when you had time to gather your thoughts before responding to a crisis? The days before the spread of digital and social media resulted in a flood of conversations that has made responding to crisis harder than ever?

Those days are over; the world has changed.

Businesses used to be able to contain an issue to a local market, but now each issue now has the ability to explode into a global crisis. This means companies have to work harder to monitor the issues landscape and react more quickly when crisis erupts.

I’ll be speaking at the Food and Drink Federation’s upcoming “Crisis Management in the Food and Drink Industry” event where I’ll be joined by other experts as we live-manage an unfolding crisis.

Joining me will be:

  • Stephen Humphreys, Director of Communications, Food Standards Agency
  • Richard Matthews, Partner, Eversheds
  • David Gregory, Risk Management Executive, Willis
  • Paul Dobson, Central Technical Director, Premier Foods

During the event I’ll be demonstrating MSLGROUP’s approach to handling crisis, which can be summarised as: Anticipate, Organise, Simulate, Execute.

Learn more about our crisis offer here and join me on February 26 for the Food & Drink Federation crisis event to see how MSLGROUP can help you manage your next crisis.
