Senior Account Executive

We’re entrepreneurial, love new ideas and are looking for Senior Account Executive who is willing to get stuck into creating something great.

Role responsibilities

  • Primary contact for our clients and team, responsible for supporting the delivery of communications programmes across several accounts.
  • Gain a solid understanding of our clients’ businesses as well as general industry trends.
  • Edit and proofread written communication to an excellent standard (for example, write and draft client and press materials without mistakes in a structured and organised manner).
  • Write materials for client programmes including press releases, media advisories, interview briefing notes, agendas, logistics documents and media reports.
  • Monitor the news media (print, broadcast and online) and undertake desk research – media and social media audits, research and analysis - in order to keep abreast of industry developments and to identify news hooks.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of campaigns, support client meetings and assist with the organisation of client activities including media events, seminars, workshops, round tables, speaking events, competitions and product launches.
  • Monitor the advances in the digital and social media sector to ensure the team stays ahead of emerging and developing trends.
  • Pitch stories to bloggers, other online influencers and communities- deliver client coverage through online and social media channels.
  • Write case studies for new business credentials
  • Use social media platforms to write insightful content pieces on behalf of the agency.
  • Generate ideas and proposals for clients during projects.
  • Stay updated and develop knowledge about the PR and media sector and of MSL’s offer.

Attributes and qualities

  • Previous experience as an Account Executive
  • A good understanding of the media landscape, influencers and the wider PR business.
  • Ability to edit and proofread written communications
  • Organised, meticulous about keeping promises and meeting deadlines, with
  • excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to changing requests
  • Comfortable working in a small, ambitious team within a large agency structure
  • A proven team player, with the ability to empathise with clients and remain flexible in achieving goals
  • Competent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Digitally savvy, active on social channels and passionate about PR and communications
