Sean Kemp joins MSL's corporate practice
We are delighted to announce that MSL London has appointed Sean Kemp as a Director of our London corporate reputation practice. Kemp is a former Downing Street Communications Special Advisor with a strong media, public affairs and crisis communications background.
Sean joins us from National Grid where he spent the last four years as Head of UK Corporate Communications. Before that he spent two years in the Blue Rubicon public affairs team working on accounts such as Google, Royal Mail, Vodafone, HSBC, Asda and Prudential.
A former journalist, Kemp was the Head of Media for the Liberal Democrats during their successful 2010 election. He spent four years in No 10 as the Liberal Democrats Head of Political Communications before gracefully exiting to the private sector in 2014. Sean continues to provide political commentary to the likes of Newsnight, The Today Programme and Good Morning Britain.
He joins our Senior Directors Tom Bell and Simon Harrison in spearheading the growth of our corporate reputation offer, expanding our public affairs and media capabilities and further reinforcing our crisis services.
Sean said of his appointment, “MSL’s ambitious plans and integrated approach were hugely attractive to me as I looked to return to agency life. The nature of the company, with its broad range of skills and diverse network of clients mean this will be a very exciting time to join the team.”
James Warren, MSL’s General Manager, said, “We are super excited to have Sean join MSL. His addition augments a strong set of senior consultants and will help drive continued growth across our portfolio.”
